HOSTED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

The Style
This thoughtfully designed “London Open” tennis themed picnic curated by HOST SOCIETY EVENTS was created for girl named London who absolutely loves tennis. It is a playful nod to professional tennis reimagined through a color story of punchy and softer pinks, court-inspired greens, and white. The atmosphere created is one that is elevated and energetic and blends preppy country club charm with childhood whimsy.

The Tablescape
THE BASE: The foundation of the tablescape begins with low-profile white picnic tables layered with a lavender-and-white pinstriped runner.
PLACE SETTINGS: Each place setting designed by MY MINDS EYE INC. features a courtside green-and-white striped dinner plate with a gold-rimmed scalloped edge. Atop this larger plate sits a smaller petal pink tennis ball-inspired plate that is accented by a tennis-inspired cookie made by MAMA’S LITTLE COOKIES. A pink bow-patterned napkin, a tennis racket paper cutout, and blush-toned flatware are neatly arranged next to the plate set and the setting is topped off with green paper cups patterned with tennis icons
CENTERLINE: The centerline of the table is anchored by a series of mint green bud vases that hold a mix of floral pieces like mauve snapdragons, yellow-and-white daisies, and greenery. Placed between the floral arrangements are custom neon pink “London Open” tennis balls and petite petal pink tennis racquets that are accented with white bows and anchored by green stands.

The Seating
Large tan blankets serve as the base layer for this picnic setup. The neutral base is layered with woven organic cushions and oversized green-and-white striped and tasseled fuchsia pillows.

The Accents
Beyond the table, a collection of thoughtful accents elevates the scene into a more memorable gathering. A balloon installation in varying shades of pink and green frames a large pastel pink and pistachio-green striped “The London Open” backdrop created by GOLDIE CREW CREATIVE. Fringed pink-and-white striped umbrellas provide shade and custom tote bags and friendship bracelet visors are provided for guests. Finally, a blush pink cake made by SPRINKLE AND DISH topped with a miniature tennis court and racquets marks the celebration in the form of edible art.

The Experience
The brilliance of this setup lies in the ability of the THE HOST SOCIETY EVENTS (and all of the vendors who contributed) to take a tournament theme and transform it into a celebration that feels like a center court celebration for kids. The little guests are treated to an experience that blends reminders of the athleticism of the game with the colorful joys of childhood. Every detail, from the neon-pink tennis balls to the pink visors, works together to turn a tennis-themed vision into an editorial-worthy event that is a total Grand Slam.
