The Style
Set against the coastline of Argyle Shore Provincial Park, this picnic captures the beauty of simple, soft, feminine design. CORDIAL PICNICS leaned into a palette of blush pink, ivory, and sand to create an atmosphere that feels as though it were plucked from the pages of a storybook with the sweeping ocean views serving as the perfect backdrop for this stunning gathering.
The Tablescape
THE BASE: The foundation of this picnic tablescape is a low-profile wooden table that is styled with a dual-layered ivory and blush pink runner.
PLACE SETTINGS: A woven organic charger serves as the base for the place setting and is layered with a scalloped white dinner plate, a blush pink appetizer plate, and a clear place card stand. Gingham-patterned or solid pink napkins are elegantly sandwiched between the two plates and draped over the edge of the table and a set of gold flatware is placed to the right of each setting. The look is completed with intricately designed glassware that adds a touch of vintage charm.
CENTERLINE: Running through the center of the table are florals like white and fuchsia roses and ivory Gerbera daisies set in glass vases. Height is added to the design through tall, soft pink and white-toned taper candles set in gold candleholders as well as pink, chunky ribbed pillar candles set on gold pedestal stands. Smaller votive candles, a string of white wooden beads, and additional florals are threaded between the larger elements to create a continuous, layered look.
The Seating
The seating transforms this picnic into a luxurious lounge-like oceanside experience. Fringed white blankets serve as the seating base and are layered with pillows in a variety of textures and colors like pleated ivory and velvety mauve.
The Accents
The peripheral details are truly what transform this picnic into an immersive experience. Two large white fringed umbrellas frame the picnic beautifully and are connected by a string of white globe lights. A woven wicker basket holding a white tasseled blanket for guests to use is placed to one side of the picnic. At the other end of the set up is a wicker side table surrounded by woven poufs that holds a white lantern, a sign, and a JBL speaker.
