The Style
This stunning oceanfront picnic designed by the team at CORDIAL PICNICS is a deliberate celebration of yellow. The overarching palette ranges from soft primrose yellow to more bold citrus tones and is anchored by warmer neutral colors and white. The entire scene radiates warmth and joy, and the atmosphere created by this scene is one where every guest feels as if they are “walking on sunshine”.
The Tablescape
THE BASE: The foundation of this picnic begins with two low-profile wooden tables draped with a dual-layered runner made up of a citrus-yellow fabric layered over a tan base
PLACE SETTINGS: Each place setting begins with a woven, organic charger that frames an alternating scalloped gold-trimmed, scalloped white or metallic gold secondary charger. This playful alternation carries through to the dinner plates that shift between a solid, scalloped white or clear textured glass plate. Yellow napkins are neatly layered between the secondary charger and dinner plate and gold-toned utensils and amber-tinted goblets rest to the side of each setting. The look is topped off with a white favor box
CENTERLINE: Running the length of the table is a collection of eclectic vases holding an abundant array of floral arrangements featuring flowers like white roses, yellow lilies, white hydrangea, and citrus-inspired accents. Honey-hued taper candles set in minimalist gold holders are balanced by shorter, ivory pillar candles set on gold pedestal stands. Shorter scalloped yellow pedestal trays featuring petite snacks for guests to enjoy add a functional and decorative flair to the table, and each end of the table is anchored by votive candles housed in gold geometric frames
The Seating
Fringed blankets serve as the foundation for the seating area and an inviting lounge-style atmosphere is created for guests through the use of cushions and pillow in an array of textures, shapes, and hues from round pintuck mustard cushions to beige, ribbed pillows. Altogether, the seating feels cozy, elevated, and perfectly suited for conversations by the water.
