The Style
Designed by the creative visionaries behind SOUTHERN BUBBLES PICNICS, this picnic sets in motion a high-end approach to outdoor event design. The picnic centers on a breezy, coastal picnic-inspired theme with a color story that is defined by powder blues, crisp whites, and soft pinks. The interplay of textures, colors, and patterns creates a space for guests that embodies the peace and quiet luxury of the coast.
The Tablescape
THE BASE: The foundation of the tablescape begins with long wooden tables that anchor the entire setup. Light blue and white gingham runners run the full length of the table, creating an eye-catching visual for guests.
PLACE SETTINGS: A round woven charger sits at the base of each place setting and is the frame for a white dinner and salad plate both accented with blue-striped rims. Flatware is minimal, metallic, and placed on either side of the plates, and white fabric napkins secured with natural woven rings are positioned at the center of the place setting. Drinkware comes in the form of white insulated tumblers with lids that add a sleek modern touch to the more classic tablescape, while also keeping drinks cool and sand free.
CENTERLINE: The centerline of the table features clear mason jars containing stunning florals such as blush pink and creamy white roses, white hydrangeas, and greenery accents. Interspersed among the arrangements are tiny white Adirondack chairs that act as place card holders, a perfect accompaniment for a beach picnic.
The Seating
The seating approach is informal but deliciously luxurious. Large white blankets serve as the seating base and are layered with a curated collection of pillows and cushions from round blue-and-white striped cushions to white square textured pillows to two-toned white and tan pom pom pillows. The Accents
Large vintage umbrellas with fringe detailing are positioned near the table to provide shade and dimension. Finally, neatly rolled gingham patterned blankets are stacked nearby for guests to use in case the weather is chilly.
