A breezy, beachside aesthetic comes to life through a thoughtfully layered palette of blush pink, soft peach, warm sand, and ivory. The result is a feminine coastal styled picnic that is perfectly suited for an relaxed intimate birthday celebration by the water.
The Tablescape
THE BASE: The base of the tablescape is a low-profile white table that is covered with a sheer ivory lace tablecloth and then layered with a ruffled pink runner.
PLACE SETTINGS: Each guest is greeted by a place setting that includes an intricately woven organic charger that serves as the frame for a rose colored plate set in the center of the charger. Sets of pink-handled flatware are set on each side of the plate, and a peach-colored napkin cinched with a starfish accented napkin ring is set on the plate and brings a coastal feel directly to the table. To top off the setting, textured glassware are placed nearby on top of round fringed soft peach and ivory coasters.
CENTERLINE: The centerline of the table includes a lineup of florals and coastal items that anchor the seaside picnic theme. A white vase serves as an eye-catching centerpiece and is flanked by a hanging white anchor and filled with a lush floral arrangement featuring roses and alstroemeria. Sleek lilac-pink minimalist lamps are placed intentionally along the table runner and scattered seashells complete the centerline narrative.
The Seating
The entire space is anchored by a lavender and white patterned rug and a collection of plush cushions and pillows in a range of tones from coral to petal-pink surround the table and invite guests to relax and settle in.
The Accents
Overhead, a fringed cabana provides shade for guests and two large vases filled with unique and decorative florals add a dramatic element to the space. A natural woven basket serves as a frame for a “Happy Birthday” sign and a nearby secondary striped honey and cream rug sits just off the main seating area. Just off of the picnic table, a side table is set up with a pink vase of flowers and a wooden box that houses a Bluetooth speaker that guests can use to play their own music
